Prototype Nappy Cover!

Okay, so last night I sat up to all hours, not hard with a newborn anyway lol, perfecting my cover pattern. I wanted something simple, reminiscent of old times and comfortable.
It also needed to be a close stitch type so it would hold the moisture and considering I crocheted it that took me a little time to work out!
In 100% Aussie wool here it is:
Any opinions welcomed!

And here it is!!! It turned out that the yarn wanted to be made into a pinafore, lol. I added thick arm frills to complete the look!
It really is just so soft and pretty. I came across some gorgeous buttons out shopping yesterday, well actually my DH did - gotta love him, and so they will be appearing on coming garments!
These ones are cute high heel shoes in pink!!

Next Project!

Well, I've managed to stay busy over the weekend so I didn't get as much done as I wanted........I am halfway thru a crocheted jacket that I am making up as I go along! It's in a gorgeous olive green, soft 8ply yarn with burgundy accents, I'll be posting a pic once its finished....hopefully today!
I am also trying to figure out a simple nappy wrap cover pattern as I have been unable to find anything for my newborn son to wear over his flat nappies! I really love the MCN but I must say that I am also a big fan of the traditional flat, flannel/terry nappies and I find that for my one year old son a baby beehinds pul cover works great with them but lil bubba is just a little small for them yet :)
I've a design on the drawing board so watch out!!!!!!

Newborn Body Wrap

My latest project........Winter is coming and I really wanted to create a simple wrap that would keep my babies chest warm yet not add bulk to the back where he lays! After much frogging and re design I finally got it to work and so here it is!
I will also have these in my Ozebaby store!

What am I working on now?????
Well my main passion is actually designing the patterns for what I want to make.....provides me with an outlet for my brain cells, lol.
I have been thinking lately that I really want to design something for the boys, I love making little girls things but since I do actually have 3 boys it might be nice to design another practical item for them too.
The trouble is........I've no idea!!!!! Hopefully by next post I'll have had a brainwave.......I must say I was extremely pleased with my medieval tunic, maybe I can work on one of them in between thinking!!

Here I am again........very exciting, I just sold my first little dress!
I think that getting little babies and toddlers back into environmentally friendly knits and crocheted items is definitely the way to go and don't they just look too cute when they are wearing a handmade item.
I have listed some bonnets/helmets now......I have perfected my pattern design and it works well for boys or girls. I can also put a frill around the edge for a girl which would be lovely. I still have to work out sizing, at the moment I have a 12 month size but my pattern can decrease within it hopefully for smaller sizes.
Heres a few pics:
